Boots. You have two choices. High leg on their own, or low boots with gaiters (commonly seen on late-war FJ's). For high legs, the first generation Brit BCH (Boots, Combat, High) are a decent enough approximation) For low boots, search around for something thats preferably rough-side out, but no toecaps.

This I believe is a sister site to the one above as they're pretty similar. They do grade 1 & 0 stuff. The High legs are grade 1 as it says. Postage from both is £7.50. I've used the-outdoor before and they were pretty good.

Well 0 are new, 1 is as new but used & 2 is good but worn. I can't comment exactly until I receive mine, never bought any grade 2 before but imagine they will be in fairly decent nick.
Gas mask canisters WERE used...but it would be unusual. By the time they would be used few would have carried gas masks in them anyways though.
my fj helmet has arrived today and i would like to replace the liner with a larger size. i have had a search around and the only ones i can find are a 59 which is what i have already, does anyone know a source for these liners.

Jay,nothing to do with your Swede-its a common problem with repro FJ lids im afraid 
Lyndon ones look good but have never used one so unfortunately cannot comment

The problem is they only make repro shells in one size.
Aye, size 71. Which is HUGE.
Regarding Barry's liners, yup, they don't sit high enough either. The *only* ones i've found that sit nicely are the Deepeeka ones. Sadly, they ain't available seperately and the shell they sit in is a total pile of poo.

in my frustration of looking like i have a bowler hat on and my missus and kids wetting themselves with laughter i cut the liner along the centre stitching to about 1 1/2" from each edge and it fits lovely now.

received my grade 2's today and condition is a lot better than i expected,well worth a tenner.

My thoughts exactly. I got mine last week but forgot to say so. I wore mine up the woods at the weekend, very comfy. A damn sight less painfull than breaking in new ones. 
Yeah, But anyone who has a a WW2 might like to take them, Gas rules are looking like they might be being used next year.
